jännittävä päivä -- a big day

ensimmäisen "koulu"päivän jälkeen lepäilyä ja yhdessäoloa. oli niin kiva tavata D & S:n tuleva opettaja ja apuopettaja. molemmat vaikuttivat niin mukaville. opettaja on amerikkalainen, apuopettaja suomalainen. ryhmässä tulee olemaan kuusi poikaa ja kaksi tyttöä, joista toinen on meille tuttu. mukava pieni ryhmä. oli kiva nähdä muut suloiset lapset ja heidän vanhempiaan. luokkahuone oli viihtyisä leluineen kaikkineen. siellä oli mm. hieno iso iso pyöreä matto, jossa oli maapallo keskellä ja sen ympärillä lapsia seisomassa käsikädessä. huomenna saamme lisää tietoa tulevasta. resting and spending some family time together after the first "school" day. it was so nice to meet D & S's teacher and her assistant. they were very nice. the teacher is american, the assistant is finnish. the group will have six boys and two girls, of which we know one. a nice small group. it was nice to meet the cute children and their parents. the classroom was pleasant with it's toys and things. there was for example a big big round carpet with an earth in the middle and children around it standing hand in hand. tomorrow we will get more information about the future.
innostuin tänään säilömään avomaankurkkuja pirkan ohjeella skånen kurkut. parin viikon päästä maisetelemme onnistuiko. today i felt inspired to pickle some cucumbers. the recipe is from pirkka magazine and called skåne's cucumbers (so from sweden). we will see in two weeks time if they will turn out ok.
