huoneeseen -- to the room

no nyt näytän jotakin mitä tähän mennessä on saatu kokoon lasten huonetta varten. vauvan takia D:n ja S:n huonetta ei tarvinnut muuttaa. muutoshinku lähti siitä että tiesimme poitsujen tarvitsevan pöytää kaikenlaiseen puuhaamiseen ja syksyllä myös läksyjen tekoon. maalla on minun vanha isäni tekemä kirjoituspöytä, mutta sen saakoon E, koska kaksosten pöytä tarvitsee enemmän syvyyttä mahduttaakseen kaksi työskentelijää sen ympärille.

well now i will show some things we have accomplished so far to gather together for the childrens room. we didn't need to change anything for the baby but the enthusiasm for a change started because we knew D and S needed a table for all kinds of art work and also will need it for doing their homework this fall. my old table, made by my father, is in the country side but let E get it because the twins' table will need more depth to have space for two workers around it.

koska tilaan tulee iso pöytä, halusin toisen ison eli kerrossänkymöhkäleen alas pieniksi sängyiksi. lelut ovat nyt pääosin sänkyjen alla, kirjoituspöydän laatikostoissa, kiinteissä kirjahyllyissä ja erilaisissa kannellisissa säilytyskalusteissa, joita lauantaina ostin lisää. kuvan laatikoista ostin kolme. 'nro 64':n jätin kauppaan. ihastuttava myyjä toi ostamani jutut kotiovellemme asti illalla! hyvä, ihmeellinen peroba! nyt lapset saivat uudet omat henk.kohtaiset "aarrelaatikkonsa". S oli toivonut harmaata (kuvassa), D seepraraidallista, mutta oli iloinen lempiväriään olevasta eli tuosta vihreästä. E sai myös vaikuttaa omaansa (ei kuvassa). tuohon isoon salkkuun laitoimme junaradat ja pallot.

because the space will have a big table i wanted another big piece of furniture, the bunk bed, to be taken down to small beds. the toys are now mostly under the beds, in the table drawers, in the solid book shelves and in some boxes with lids that i bought on saturday. i got three of the ones in the picture. 'nro 64' was left to the store. the salesman volunteered to bring everything to our door! well done peroba! now our children have their own new "treasure boxes". S wished for getting a grey box (in the picture), D zebra striped one, but was happy to get his favorite colored one, the green one. E also had a chance to tell his wishes (his box is not in the picture). to the big suitcase we put the train tracks and balls.

meillä ei ole mattoja missään tällä hetkellä, mutta nyt löysin ihania virkattuja pyöreitä mattoja. ostin peräti viisi. eräs minulle tuntematon äiti kartanonkoskella vantaalla tekee näitä. todella huokeaan hintaan. jos kiinnostut niin annan mielelläni yhteystiedot. poitsut ovat tykänneet matoista tosi paljon. yksi on vähän isompi valkoinen, yli metrin halkaisijalla. muut ovat noin 65 cm halkaisijaltaan. mm. vihertäviä sävyjä.

at the moment we don't have any carpets but now i found some lovely crocheted round carpets. i bought even five of them. a mother in kartanonkoski vantaa makes them. for an inexpensive price i must say. if you're interested in purchasing some, i'm happy to give her contact details. the boys have liked the carpets a lot. one is a little bigger white, diameter over a meter. other ones are about 65 cm. different greens.

lasten päiväpeitot on meillä unohdettu joksikin aikaa. päätimme panostaa pussilakanoihin. marimekkoa.

we have forgotten for a while the childrens bed covers. we decided to invest in duvet covers. marimekko.

sitten lauantainen kirpparilöytöni. iso vanha puinen kirjoituspöytä. ihanat puiset laatikostot. tätä me puunattiin ja pestiin tänään E:n kanssa. näköjään on ollut joskus ekokauppa ruohojuuressa käytössä. pöydän pinnoissa oli paljon teippejä ja laatikostoissa tarroja, mutta tadaaaa, nyt näyttää hienolle.

then the find from a second hand store on friday. a big old wooden writing table. lovely wooden drawers. today E and i washed it. it says it has been in use earlier in ruohojuuri (an organic store). the surfaces had lots of tape and stickers but tadaaaa now it looks fancy.
